In this course you will look at the requirements of the MIDI standard, along with how MIDI messages are communicated across different instruments. You will look at different MIDI controllers, and consider how MIDI has been amended as a protocol, developed and perhaps superseded. Finally, you will consider the overall impact of MIDI on music technology.
